We welcome you to the Twisted Luck Family!
~Rexx, Danielle, & Bryson
In 2008 I was mowing a pasture and came across a horse shoe that had been through the ringer, picked it up and thought to myself "Now that could be a great company business name Twisted Luck"!
In my quest to further my education, after receiving two Associate's Degrees, and a Bachelor's Degree, I decided to get my Master's Degree in Agribusiness. In order to go through the program at K-State I needed a business to use. I decided to use my garden, and sell the produce, turning a small profit even in the first year!
So Twisted Luck Produce was born!
(Later changed to Twisted Luck Sustainable Gardening)
After leaving my job in October 2014, I decided to take some time off and do some traveling. I visited Australia, and then met up with some Clydesdale horse friends in New Zealand, where I got my first ride on a Coyaltix Carriage. Within two years I was the Exclusive agent for Coyaltix Carriages in North America, which I still hold today.
So Twisted Luck Carriages was born!
In a bit of "Twisted Luck" I found the love of my life. We met through a mutual friend who suggested we overnight our horses at her farm on our way from North Carolina to Oklahoma. A few years later I moved to be with her and her son, managing the farm and the herd of horses here.
Danielle and I have many horses on the farm of various breeds and disciplines. We have two studs, an Irish Sport Horse & a Dutch Harness Horse, when crossed with a Thoroughbred, or other breeds, the offspring is a many times called a "Sport Horse".
So Twisted Luck Sport Horses was born!
Late 2022 I was listening to some gardening podcasts and came across Vermicomposting. With a plethora of horse manure, I can compost it down, feed it to the composting worms, and then harvest their castings...aka Vermicast. So, I did my due diligence and research, and have decided to jump fully into Vermicomposting.
Throughout my life I have been very fortunate to have a loving family who has always supported me. We lived next door to my grandparents, who each lived to be 100 years old, and had a large garden. Summers were full of learning how to grow, harvest, and preserve. We were raised with Clydesdale Horses, which ultimately took me all over the world, even getting the opportunity to meet Prince William & Kate Middleton. The Clydesdale horse even indirectly brought me to the love of my life, and a new and exciting chapter. I have been taught to work hard, do everything to the best of my abilities, and get my hands dirty. Growing produce through "natural" ways to promote sustainable gardening is my passion. Twisted Luck is a circle of sustainability where everything is connected.
